માધવભાઈ અને જગાભાઈ કહાણી !

માધવભાઈ અને જગાભાઈ નામે માનવીઓ બે, જેનું હું કહું,

જીવન જે જગમાં વહી ગયું એની જ કહાણી હું સૌને કહું !…………(ટેક)

૧૯૦૧માં માધવભાઈ અને ૧૯૦૬માં જગાભાઈ જન્મે,

ભારતના ગુજરાતમાં વેસ્મા અને તુંડી ગામે આનંદ વહે,

અજાણ બે માનવીઓ આ જગમાં પધારે !….માધવભાઈ……..(૧)

ભણીગણી,માધવ મિસ્ત્રી,૧૯૨૧માં નાઈરોબી,કેનીયામાં કામ કરે,

તુંડી ગામે મોટા થઈ, જગા પટેલ પરદેશ જવાના સ્વપના સેવે,

બે અજાણ મનડે પરદેશ પ્રેમ રમે !………….માધવભાઈ…..(૨)

૧૯૩૩માં માધવની સરકારી નોકરી બંધ થાતા, રાજીનામું મળે,

૧૯૩૪થી માધવ પરિવાર સાથે ગુજરાતના વેસ્મા ગામે રહે,

બે અજાણ માનવીઓનું જીવન ગુજરાતમાં જ વહે !….માધવભાઈ….(૩)

કોઈના લગ્ન કારણે, માધવ તુંડી ગામે પધારે,

માધવ તો જગાને પહેલીવાર જ મળે,

અજાણતા દુર અને બે મિત્રો બને !……માધવભાઈ……(૪)

બાળલગ્ને મધવ ભાણી સંગે, ૧૯૨૨માં જગા હતા    સંગે,

સાંભળી માધવની આફ્રીકા કહાણી, જગાભાઈ ૧૯૩૬માં રોડેશીયા આવે,

જગા ભાગ્યમાં લીવીંગસ્ટન શહેર એનું રહેથાણ બને !….માધવભાઈ…..(૫)

પત્ની    અકાળે મૃત્યુ પામે એમા જ પીયર ધામે,

જગાભાઈ આફ્રીકાથી આવી, ૧૯૪૫માં ફરી લગ્ન કરે,

મણી નામે જીવન સાથી જગાને મળે !……માધવભાઈ…..(૬)

પ્રથમ લગ્નના હિરા મોહન ભારત રહી અંતે આફ્રીકા આવે,

જગાભાઈ તો મોટા દીકરાઓ અને જીવનસાથી મણી સાથે જીવન ગુજારે,

ફરી આફ્રીકા આવી, મિત્ર માધવની યાદમાં રહે !…..માધવભાઈ….(૭)

આફ્રીકા કમાણી પુરી, માધવ આફ્રીકા નિહાળી, મિત્ર જગાની યાદ લાવે,

દેશ છોડી,પ્રથમ સોલ્સબરી અને અંતે લીવીંગસ્ટનમાં મિત્ર જગાને મળે,

ફરી મળી, બે મિત્રો તો ખુબ જ આનંદીત બને !…..માધવભાઈ…..(૮)

સાથે રહી, તકલીફો હટાવવા, માધવ અને જગા ધંધાનું વિચારે,

એવા વિચારે, “બોમ્બે ટ્રેડીંગ કંપની” નામે એક દુકાન બને,

એક પાર્ટનરશીપ ધંધે નાનુભાઈ સંગે બે મિત્રો રહે !…..માધવભાઈ….(૯)

પ્રથમ લગ્ને, ભીખી, હિરા, મોહનની ટ્રીપુટીમાંથી દીકરાઓ આફ્રીકા આવે,

બીજા લગ્ને રમેશ,નીમું, નલીની, અને કુસુંમ જગા-પરિવારને વધારે,

અનેક બાળકોના હૈયે પિતા જગાભાઈ “પ્રેમ”ના પ્રતિક રહે !……માધવભાઈ….(૧૦)

૧૯૫૦માં માધવ લીવીંગસ્ટન છોડે અને”બોમ્બે ટ્રેડીંગ કંપની”નો અંતે આવે,

માધવ પેમ્બા ગામે “મિસ્ત્રી બ્રથર્સ”નામે પાર્ટનરશીપમાં દુકાન કરે,

ભલે મિત્રો દુર,પણ, માધવ-જગા હૈયે પ્રેમ વહેતો રહે !…..માધવભાઈ…..(૧૧)

મોટા દીકરા છગન છે માધવ સાથે, અને ૧૯૫૦માં વહું શાંતા આવે,

પ્રથમ દીકરી શારદા અને પછી પાંચ છગન દીકરાઓ માધવ નિહાળે,

નાના દીકરાની યાદ સાથે, માધવ હૈયે ખુશી વહે !……માધવભાઈ…..(૧૨)

લીવીંગસ્ટનમાં જગાભાઈ ખેતી-પ્રેમ સાથે,૧૯૫૩માં “સીન્ડે ફાર્મ” કરે,

૧૯૫૬માં જગા ભાઈઓને યાદ કરી “જે.આર.ડી.”નામે ભત્રીજા નાથુ, મગનને ધંધે લાવે,

સગાસ્નેહીઓ પ્રત્યે જગા-પ્રેમ હંમેશ જાગૃત રહે !…..માધવભાઈ…..(૧૩)

પેમ્બા કે લીવીંગસ્ટન ધામે ધંધે તકલીફો અનેક રહે,

છગન અને હિરા “એમસન્સ સ્ટોર” અને “રોવેલ ફેશન્સ” લુસાકામાં કરે,

૧૯૬૦ના સમય ગાળે, માધવ-જગા પરિવારો લુસાકાનો આનંદ માણે !….માધવભાઈ…..(૧૪)

“રોવેલ ફેશન્સ” પછી “એચ.એમ.આર.”ની દુકાન જગાકુટુંબ બનાવે,

ત્યારબાદ, હિરા ઉત્સાહે અને સાહસે, “સ્વાર્પ લીમીટેડ” એનડોલામાં બને,

એ જ રહી જગાભાઈ સફળતાની વાત રહી !……..માધવભાઈ…….(૧૫)

પેમ્બા છોડ્યા બાદ, “એમસન્સ સ્ટોર”માં ધંધો વધે,

૧૯૬૯માં, માધવના નાના દીકરા ચંદ્રવદન ડોકટર બની આવે,

એમાં માધવ ગર્વથી ખુશી અનુભવે !……માધવભાઈ……(૧૬)

જગાભાઈએ લુસાકા નિહાળ્યું પણ લીવીન્ગસ્ટન એમને વ્હાલું રહે,

૧૯૬૯માં આફ્રીકાનું આ શહેર છોડતા, જગા નયને આસુંઓ વહે,

આ જ  જગાભાઈની આફ્રીકાની જીવન-કહાણી રહી !…..માધવભાઈ…(૧૭)

ભારતમાં ભણતા માધવપુત્ર ચંદ્રવદન જેને સૌ “ભીખુ” નામે પૂકારે,

જાણી “જગાકાકા ” છે તુંડી, આવી કાકાને મળી આનંદ હૈયે લાવે,

જાણે, મિત્ર માધવ વતી દીકરા “ભીખુ”ને પ્રભુ ત્યાં મોકલે !…..માધવભાઈ…(૧૮)

જગાકાકાના દર્શને ભીખુ એક ડોકટરી નજરથી નિહાળે.

શ્વાસની તકલીફો વધતા, ૨૯મી ઓકટોબર૧૯૬૯ના જગા તો છે પ્રભુધામે,

આ જ રહી જગા-જીવન સફરની અંતીમ ઘડી !…..માધવભાઈ……(૧૯)

૧૯૬૯માં પુત્ર ચંદ્રવદન ડોકટર બન્યાની માધવ હૈયે ખુશી,

વહુ શાન્તા બાદ, ૧૯૭૦માં નાની વહુ કમુ જોયાની છે માધવ ખુશી,

પુર્ણ સંતોષ સાથે માધવે ૧૯૭૩માં આ દુનીયા છોડી !……માધવભાઈ….(૨૦)

માધવ અને જગા, બે મિત્રો, આજે છે પ્રભુધામે સાથે જરૂર હશે રાજી,

જગમાં રહેતા બે પરિવારોમાં પ્રેમભાવ સહીત યાદ એમની તાજી,

આ જ આ સંસારની “પ્રભુ-પ્રસાદી” ની વાત રહે !…..માધવભાઈ…..(૨૧)

ચંદ્ર અંતે કહે ઃ “અરે ! ઓ, દુનીયાવાલો, જરા સાંભળો,

જગમાં મિત્ર બનો તો માધવ જગા જેવા તમે બનો,”

આવી વિચારધારામાં, ભવિષ્યનું એક “પ્રેમ ઝરણું ” વહે !……માધવભાઈ….(૨૨)

Madhavbhai & Jagabhai  Story !

Madhav & Jaga, 2 Humans,It’s about these 2 I tell,

The Lifespan that was passed that’s the Story I tell !

 

In1901Madhav & in1906 Jaga were Born,

In Gujarat of India, and everyone rejoice at Vesma & Tundi,

Two Unknown Individuals are on this Earth !……….Madhav..(1)

 

With Education, in 1921 Madhav working at Nairobi Kenya,

Struggling at Tundi, Jagabhai is dreaming of Foreign Land,

Two Unknown Individuals having the Love for the Foreign Land !….Madhav…(2)

 

In 1933 the Governmental Job of Madhav ended,

In 1934, Leaving Africa, at Vesma Madhav had landed,

Two Unknown Individuals are in India again !……Madhav……(3)

 

On the occasion of someone’s Wedding, Madhav is at Tundi,

Madhav & Jaga for the First time meeting eachother at Tundi,

No more Unknowns, they became the Friends !……Madhav…..(4)

 

Madhav in Childhood Marriage with Bhani, & Jaga in Youth with….

Hearing of Africa & leaving the Wife & children,in 1936,Jaga in Africa,

Livingstone & North Rhodesia is Jaga’s Destiny !……Madhav….(5)

 

The sudden Death of the 1st Jaga’s Wife in India,

Made Jaga come back & in 1945 Remarry in India,

By God’s Grace 2nd Lifepartener is Mani !…..Madhav……(6)

 

Of 3 Children Bhikhi, Hira & Mohan,2 Sons came to Africa,

After Marriage, Jaga, with Mani, was back to Africa,

Within Jaga’s Heart was his Friend Madhav Dear !…….Madhav….(7)

 

Money from Africa no more, Madhav thinking of Jaga in Africa,

First briefly at Salisbury & finally at Livingstone of North Rhodesia, Africa,

Thus the Meeting of 2 Friends filled with Joy !……Madhav…….(8)

 

To get rid of the Struggles, Madhav & Jaga thinking of the Business,

With Nanu Patel, “Bombay Trading Company” was born as the 1st Business,

In the Partership the 2 Friends are in Happiness !……Madhav……(9)

 

By 1st Marriage, Hira & Mohan Assisting Jagabhai in Africa,

By 2nd Marriage, Ramesh, Nimu ,Nalini & Kusum loved by All,

The Family of Jagabhai is United with Love !…….Madhav…..(10)

 

In 1950 Madhav left Livingstone  for a Village Pemba,

In the Partership, with Hari & Mohan, “Mistry Brothers” was born at Pemba,

Madhav & Jaga far away, yet near within their Hearts !…..Madhav…..(11)

 

In 1950  the Elder son Chhagan’s Wife Shanta to Pemba, Africa,

1st Born Sharda and then 5 Sons as Madhav’s Grandsons in Africa,

Madhav’s Heart is filled with the Happiness !……Madhav……(12)

 

With Jaga’s Love for the Farming, in 1953, “Sinde Farm” was Established,

With Jaga’s  Love for his Brothers, in 1956 “J.R.D.” Store was Established,

This was Jaga filled with Love for Relatives & Close ones !…..Madhav….(13)

 

In Pemba & Livingstone, the Business is not great & Life was Tough,

After 1960’s at Lusaka are Chhagan with “Emsons Store” & Hira with “Rowel Fashions”,

Thus 2 Families with the Friendship are United again !……Madhav…..(14)

 

After “Rowel Fashions” there was “H.M.R.” as a New Business,

And with the Courage of Hirabhai, “Swarp Ltd.” as big Venture,

This was the Success Story of Jaga Family !…….Madhav……..(15)

 

Lucky with the Nice Business as “Emsons Store” at Lusaka,

And, Madhav’s 2nd Son Chandravadan known as Bhikhu working at Lusaka,

The Happiness in Madhav’s Heart was Madhav’s Success Story !……Madhav….(16)

 

Jaga visited Lusaka, but his Heart was always with Livingstone,

In 1969 Leaving Livingstone & Africa brought Tears in Jaga’s Eyes,

This is the Final Goodbye of Jagabhai !……Madhav………(17)

 

While in India, Madhav’s son Chandravadan had been eager to meet JagaKaka,

Seeing & Meeting a Friend’s Son was like meeting a Friend Madhav to Jagabhai,

This was the God arranged “Farewell Meeting” !……Madhav…..(18)

 

Jaga’s Bhikhu saw Kaka as his Nephew & as a Doctor,

With  increasing Shortness of Breath, Jaga,on 29th October 1969 was in the Heaven,

This is the Final Journey of Jagabhai !……Madhav…….(19)

 

In 1969, 2nd Son Chandravadan becoming the Doctor brought Joy to Madhav,

After 1st Daughter-in-Law Shanta, in 1970 seeing Kamu was the 2nd Joy of Madhav,

Fully Content, 1973 Madhav was in Heaven to Meet Friend Jaga !…..Madhav…..(20)

 

Madhav & Jaga, 2 Friends, Today are in Heaven & must at Peace with God,

While on this Earth,  in 2 Families, Love flows in their Sweet Memories,

This is God’s Prasadi or Grace to the Surviving Progeny !…..Madhav…….(21)

 

At the End, Chandra Says : “Oh ! The People of this World,Please Listen,

Be Friends like Madhav & Jaga and Live on this Earth with Love”

This is the Ultimate Path for a Brighter Future !……Madhav…….(22)

 

This Poem is a Translation from a Gujarati Poem…..August 16th 2013

બે શબ્દો…

મારા જીવનની બુક “યાદોના ઉપવનમાં” નીમુ પટેલે વાંચી.

ખુશી દર્શાવાવા ફોન આવ્યો.

ચર્ચા થઈ…મારા પિતાજી (માધવભાઈ મિસ્ત્રી) અને નીમુના પિતાજી (જગુભાઈ પટેલ)ની મિત્રતાની યાદ તાજી થઈ.

એ બે મિત્રોની કહાણી શબ્દોમાં લખવાની જવાબદારી મેં લીધી..કાંઈક લખ્યું.

ત્યારબાદ, એક દિવસે જે જાણ્યું એને કાવ્યરૂપે લખવા વિચાર આવ્યો.

એ જ શક્ય થયેલી રચના તમે એક પોસ્ટરૂપે વાંચી રહ્યા છો.

એ ગુજરાતીમાં થયેલ રચના બાદ એને “અંગ્રેજી”માં લખવા પ્રેરણા થઈ.

મેં કાવ્યને “અંગ્રેજી” ભાષાંતર આપવા પ્રયાસ કર્યો.

એ પણ સાથે પોસ્ટરૂપે તમે વાંચ્યું.

તો “ગુજરાતી” અને “અંગ્રેજી” રચનાઓ ગમી ?

 

આજે છે ૧૯મી સેપ્ટેમ્બર,૨૦૧૩નો દિવસ, અને તીથી પ્રમાણે છે “ભાદરવા સુદ પુનમ”. એથી, જે માનવદેહરૂપી મૃત્યુ પુનમે થયું હોય તેઓનો તીથી પ્રમાણે “શ્રાધ્ધપૂજા”નો દિવસ કહેવાય.

તો…આ દિવસે મારા પિતાજી (માધુભાઈ ગાંડાભાઈ મિસ્ત્રી) અને પિતાજીના મિત્ર યાને મારા કાકાશ્રી ( જગાભાઈ ગોવિન્દભાઈ પટેલ)ની યાદ તાજી કરી “અંજલી”રૂપે અર્પણ કરૂં છું.

FEW WORDS…

This Post is about the Life Story of 2 FRIENDS by the Names MADHAVBHAI MISTRY ( of Vesma Gujarat) and JAGABHAI PATEL ( of Tundi, Gujarat).It is being published on 19th September2013 which according to the Indian Calender is the the FULL MOON day of BHADARAVA MAS which is the POONAMI SHRADH Day.

The STORY is told as a POEM in GUJARATI & ENGLISH.

The Story that takes 2 Friends to AFRICA from India…the Story that reveals that LOVE of that FRIENDSHIP still flowing in the Hearts of the SIBLINGS on this Earth inspite of their DEATHS many years ago,

This is the GOD’s PRASADI or his GRACE.
